AJJ: Lucky 13

I had a lot of fun with this one. It used all of my favorite things and stayed in my most comfortable color palette.

I began with another piece of my coffee dyed paper. Next I carefully glued a scrap of pattern paper over part of the page.

I really wanted the tiny triangle to remain intact hanging over the page edge. I’m so happy I took the time to make it happen.

I continued adding layers to create a frame of sorts for the little boys vintage image. What a cutie pie…love those cubby cheeks.

I aged a piece of cotton lace trim with some distress ink before adhering it to the page. It felt like it was missing something so I added a tiny safety pin.

I hope you’ll join in with the fun and make a journal page for my theme of Fabric, lace and trims…oh my! at Art Journal Journey.

  1. This may be my favorite spread. I love the coffee dyed paper, the triangle, which was unexpected, the grungy lace trim, and the focal image. This is another incredible entry for your theme at AJJ.
