I’m not going to lie…it’s still coffee in my cup.I wanted to get outside and check on my plants. The squirrels have been driving me crazy with their digging!!Ok, my green onions are fine.Maybe the movement of the pinwheel is helping.Happy Flag Day!Oh good, my newly transplanted rhubarb looks like it’s finally starting to accept its new home. This is my latest goofy attempt to keep the squirrels out of my lettuce box.It looks like I’m trying to grow sticks. Not liking the look.Hey, where did the sun go??I better finish up my coffee so I can get the rest of my planting done before it decides to rain. Thanks for stopping by for tea…oh, yeah…coffee with me.Remember to swing my Kimmie’s blog for the full list of Tea Tuesday participants.

Had to take a little break and check out how the garden fared after the high winds from last night. It’s still super windy!! Seems as if it’s either raining or windy these days.
The chicken wire is to try to discourage the squirrels from digging in the garden box. I found a black walnut that was beginning to sprout in there. I’m sure they are looking for more buried treasures. Little pests.
Also check out the beginnings of another small garden. We still need to put up fencing…both the chicken wire kind and the tall kind. There are bunnies that live under the shed so we have to keep the from getting into the all-you-can-eat smorgasbord. The tall fencing is to keep the deer at bay.
Stop by Kimmies for the list of Tea Tuesday players.

Since we were “blessed” with MORE snow today…heavy wet snow..over the top of rain and sleet…I was homebound. Not worth getting stuck, going in the ditch or getting in a wreck for basically nothing.
I decided I’d do my best to play happy homemaker.
I baked a double batch of spritz… happy spring colors of course.
And put a yummy roast in the oven.
I also had to try and save all the seeds J and I planted over the weekend.
We haven’t had a sunny or warm day since. They were and should be here on the cart but it’s been so cold that I feared they’d rot instead of germinate. So….
I cleared space on the mantel and turned on the fireplace to warm them. Sad but true.
I’m going to move them back to that cart tomorrow morning since it’s supposed to be sunny….not particularly warm but at least sunny.
