    It’s so nice!!!!

    I have no art to share…just my giddiness over the nice weather! 
    It’s 81°F in Minnesota on March 16th!!! 
    The funny part is that there is still ice on the lakes around here. Obviously not safe to be on but ice none the less.
    Have a wonderful weekend!
    I know I’m going to be enjoying the great outdoors while it lasts…being Minnesota…it could snow next week. 🙂

    Snow Day

    The two words every kid longs to hear. 
    I was shocked when the call came through at 5:30 this morning. 
    I figured we’d maybe have a 2 hour late start but CLOSED.  Really!?!?
    We are 5 houses from the edge of our school district…if we were on the next street, the kids would have had school on time, no delay today. 
    Weird, huh.
    We got rain then sleet then snow then freezing rain then sleet again then snow. Needless to say it’s very heavy. Check out my neighbors Spruce tree. 
    Another neighbor has a tree leaning down into their driveway.

    Our dogwood looks pretty encased in ice.

    I wanted to take even more pictured but it’s rainy-sleety again and I didn’t want to get my lens wet.
    It’s so pretty out and warm.

    Happy New Year!

    I decided on my word for the year…
    Drum roll please….  **REDUCE**
    This one word will play many roles throughout the year.
    • I’d like to reduce the chemical load in our home even more.
    • Reduce the amount of stuff in our home.
    • I’m going to reduce the amount of purchases we make so that will reduce our monthly bills.
    • Continuing to reduce my waistline and other parts is super high on my list.
    • By making bulk purchases, being aware of packaging and buying local, I will reduce the impact we have on the environment.
    • I want to reduce the amount of trash we produce even more this year.
    • I’m going to reduce the vast quantity of art supplies I have stashed by being creative more often.
