I’ve been playing with Paintshop Pro again. I made a new banner for my page from a picture of some of my own art. I changed the colors, cut, resized and tweaked it in many ways. I like the end result. I had to change the other colors of the blog though since they didn’t really mesh with the new banner. I’m thinking of making up several banners…maybe even seasonal…don’t know but stay tuned.

I’ve been working on some different digital designs for a project. The pink one made really nice copies so I’m definitely using that one. The dark one copied ok but didn’t like it once it was on the cardstock. I’ve been putting other embellishments on it trying to get the look I want but am still not satisfied. I REALLY wanted the white set to copy but the subtle background texture didn’t show. -

Learning by experimentation in Paint Shop Pro has been taking up WAY too much of my time lately. I just can’t seem to stop. I’ve been working with a photo I took probably 20 years ago in Montana. It was out on a ranch in the middle of nowhere…no running water or electricity. They had this old truck with a tree growing up through the engine compartment. It was just so weird I had to snap a picture. Original photo is the upper right one. I recently signed up for a swap with a transportation theme. I immediately thought of this photo. Not sure if that’s the direction I’ll ultimately go for the chunky book but none the less, I’m getting a ton of experience in digital altering.
