love canvasWe celebrated our 20th Anniversary this weekend. It was wonderful to reminisce while spending a quiet day together. With it being Easter weekend, a get-away will have to wait for a later date. That’s ok..then we get to celebrate twice!

I was totally inspired to create this canvas on Saturday morning. It all just sort of came together all at once.

Supplies:

  • 6×6 canvas
  • tissue paper
  • rubber stamps (mostly Stampin’ Up!)
  • Staz-on ink
  • Liquitex matte medium
  • Liquitex Basics–bright aqua green
  • India ink
  • scrapbook paper
  • canvas letter stickers

I’m slow at getting my post up today for T stands for Tuesday. I decided that I really needed to get to the gym…for the first time in longer than I’d like to admit. I certainly knew it when I got there…yikes. Out of breath and out of shape.

I also stopped by for a visit with my knitting group…it’s been a while since I’ve been there as well. In fact, they had a new member. It’s always fun to meet someone new with like interests.

So yesterday I was compelled to create something for a friend. I haven’t given it to her yet but she has so much on her plate at the moment that I know she’ll never stop by here before I get it to her. 20140407_4574Here’s the finished piece…20140408_4575Thanks for stopping by today.

Just an FYI…I generally don’t answer T Tuesday comments with a personal email back but I do visit and leave comments on the blogs listed if I am able.

What are you doing today?

Once again circles seem to dominate my journal entries. And not the perfectly round type either. Hand drawn, wonky, wild circles…slightly off kilter. love of color

Much like the girl who created them. ;)

snowyIt’s another snowy day in the neighborhood. The white stuff messed up my plans for the day. I had a list of places to go today including on finally making it to knitting this morning but instead I have a date with the snowblower.

Halle put the kettle onI’ve got a kettle heating so I can make a large thermo mug full of tea to drink outside.

be the light archOn the bright side, I do have some art to share.   I was inspired by a Yogi tea bag and Patty’s word of the year to make this piece.

be the lightThe Gothic arch shape was a leftover from a previous swap. I think I only have one arch left…I’ll have to save that one for a template.

Since the snow is still falling…I’ll be visiting my T Tuesday friends before tackling the driveway.

What are you doing today?

dream bigI made this one with my daughter in mind.

The first of several canvases I’ve been working on.laugh always

20130609_2202My friend Sandy asked if I’d do another canvas featuring her published poem. She wanted to give it to her mom who encouraged her to enter the contest in the first place.

I reworked a previous canvas that never felt quite done to me.

Sandy’s words in addition to the changes have now made this a completed work.
