The other day I got my envelope from Inka Stamps who is sponsoring an Art Partner challenge on “Latest Trends“.

Inside was a blank white piece of cardstock, Geisha unmounted rubber stamp and a Friendship knot. The requirement was to use the items provided to create something original.

The screen behind the Geisha took a lot of time as the pieces are hand cut and glued individually. I really can’t think of another way that I could have made it look so authentic though.

Just playing a bit…had to do SOMETHING creative.

Hoorah! I was able to get “T” completed today. The tag reads “Take time… before time takes you.” This was a quote by yours truly a couple years back. I had envisioned putting a tombstone on the page as well but didn’t find one I wanted to use.

I’m working in the second book of a 10 person round robin. This book has an ABC theme. We are each to pick 2-3 letters. I’ve decided on “M” and “T” but have only completed this one so far. I have my idea and materials picked for the second…just need time to put it together.

Time has been scarce as of late…it seems that we’ve got something going every day during this winter break. I try and sneak in some art time before bed but some nights I’m just too darn tired!

My neighbor invited me to a card party/demo today. The woman’s studio was fantastic!! I wanted to move in..I’d sleep under the tables..no biggie. I started my paper arts journey as a rubber stamper making greeting cards. That was 13 years ago. A lot has changed. I still use my stamps but not to make cards. This was a nice opportunity to get a few made without having to think up a design.

I also got the cutest little box as a gift walking in the door. I’m going to be taking it apart so I can make a template. I am SO going to make a bunch of these for quick little gift boxes.
