CrafTy Tuesday

craft centralFor this weeks edition of T stands for Tuesday, I just had to show you what Little J and I have done….

We’ve turned the game table into craft central for the week. We are borrowing the neighbor’s Cuttlebug and amazing amount of accessories…not even all on the table… so we definitely needed a bigger space to work.

As you can see I have a nice summer beverage in my favorite glass.  Ice, 1/3 glass orange juice then fill with club soda. My usual is club soda and 100% unsweetened cranberry juice but I ran out.

I’m going through my scrap files and embossing papers for future use as well as creating some embellishments for cards.

Little J is working on her stash of cards for the year and some goodies for her Smash book.

Little J cardsThese are a few cards she made yesterday.

With Mr. G at work and Big J at camp during the day, we crank up the Pandora radio and get our crafty groove on.  It’s nice to get that special  time with my favorite girl.

What are you doing today?

Hello and Happy Tuesday! How fun to have craft time with your daughter, so awesome. I like that you both are making cards and getting your dance moves in too. What a new idea for a cool drink, have never heard of either. Enjoy your girls day!

Aren’t you the lucky gal. I wish I had some of those embossing folders, but the machine Kathy gave me doesn’t take embossing folders or the nesties, either. It’s a shim problem, Kathy thinks. And having access to all those dies is incredible. Wonderful use of scraps and excess paper. I know these will go in some awesome cards.

With you and Little J working side by side, I would say you’ve had a really good week. And her cards are stunning for someone her age. It doesn’t hurt to have a crafty mom, though.

Hope you two gals have a super T today. BTW, yours and Dawn’s posts aren’t updating on my left sidebar. Can’t figure out why, though.

What fun to make time to sit down and create with your sweet girl…
that is a nice stash of cards.
I do not have a die cut machine, it is something I have resisted, but now and then friends bring them to our mixed media meetings and they sure are fun!
Drinking juice with bubbly water is our favorite too, cuts the sweetness and adds some fizz = ummm
Happy T day to you Halle

sounds like a fun day planned! I don’t have a die cut machine either, so my stuff is ah natural which can be time consuming. I love the embossing on some of those pieces. Now THAT I cannot do by hand. Enjoy your awesome day
    Happy T to you

Nothing better than spending time with our children–it goes so quickly–and if it is crafting time, all the better! Sounds like a very refreshing beverage. Happy T Tuesday!

Hi Halle (or should I call you Frog?), happy T day, and Hi Little J too!

Thanks for visiting, yellow tomatoes sound nice! That Mahoosive tomato is the only one to be picked so far, the rest are green as green can be, all 4 varieties!

How lovely for the two of you to craft, my 13 year old neice is coming to stay for a week and I make her a space on my workdesk and keep a box of stash for her to get into. It is lovely, usually I am a lonely crafter!

    Hi Halle
what a fun day you had together and I presume Little J is your daughter or granddaughter!
I have a cuttle bug, but don’t use it nearly enough – I’ll get cracking on embossing some nice papers with Christmas in mind – I like making collage cards.
I’m here from Patty’s – I loved the fabulous arty jigsaw postcard you sent her.
I’m in New Zealand and I wonder if they would let one go through – I’ll have to ask!
Loved your journal pages in the previous post too Halle!

Lovely that you get to spend some time playing together and I like to get the bug out and have a session to keep for future use, it just makes things faster when I am creating! Great cards Little J made too, obviously gets her talent from you!

What’s better than a girl’s crafting day! I love my Cuttlebug. Looks like you two were having a blast and I like her cards.
I’ve had the cranberry juice and club soda drink, but never tried it with orange juice. Yummy and refreshing!
    Happy T Tuesday! :)
