Inspired by the jitters

Last updated : April 10, 2016

I’ve been drinking WAY to much coffee lately. Not that I make a second pot at home for myself but I’ve been out and about and the coffee seems to be free-flowing.  Jitters…shakes…good thing I wasn’t doing any fine motor things because I would have gotten a big old F in any of those.

The bonus to my coffee excess is that it got me thinking about an altered book I started many years ago. Seriously…years…ago….coffeeThis is by far my favorite page in this AB so far. The others all seem forced in comparison.  I likely shouldn’t compare since I’ve really grown as an artist in the years since I started this project but it’s hard not to self-criticize.

The ad is from an old cookbook I tore apart. I love that it’s a little piece of history.

Your coffee pages are really great Halle…
something about your placement of the butterfly pleases me extra much
along with all of the elements that went into your book…
I can relate to everything you write…
looking back at what we have created sometimes can really make us think wow!
I am a cheap date when it comes to caffeine and can get VERY shakey…
that said we are headed out for some Saturday coffee…
I usually get half caf :)
    Have a Happy Mother’s Day weekend ♥

This is a beautiful page–I like how you used the flowers! I only drink tea, so I have never experienced the shakes–might make some interesting art, LOL!

Love it and thinking that would be a fun card made with a wine label for my wine lover family and friends!

I get the jitters if I have had coffee all day long and not eaten. But I would never get the jitters when I say how awesome this spread is. Like Patty, I like the placement of the butterfly, but I also like how you found the perfect way to frame the ad, while not making it obvious. Great job!!

Happy Mother’s Day from Bleubeard and me!!
