T Tuesday: Halloween edition

I sometimes feel guilty about dressing up for Halloween when we skipped the whole works when our kids were young. At the time it made sense due to food allergies. Now with my job, it’s kind of a thing again.

I dressed as a VSCO girl. Those of you who don’t have teenagers won’t get it. but the kids at school loved it! “Oh my gosh Mrs. G…you’re a VSCO girl!” “That is so awesome!”  You can google it if you are super curious…

This was a good chunk of the staff who dressed for the occasion. So fun…and some actual learning took place believe it or not.

Over the weekend I went to a local craft fair and immediately fell in love with this bowl.

Something about it spoke to me. I told the potter that I’d be back…I had to think about it. I quickly made the rounds through the rest of the vendors in the gym and came back with cash in hand.

I LOVE IT!! The potter is a retired orthopedic surgeon. After decades away from the wheel, he started creating again.  I’m certainly happy he did!

I have to show you my view this morning after the time change. Marvin is not a fan. He doesn’t understand why I’m not willing to open the shades @dark 30.

So he waits… giving me the cold shoulder…or rear.

What are you doing today?

Gorgeous bowl Halle. I can see why you had to have it. I teach tenageers and I have never heardof a VSCO girl. I had to look it up. Maybe different schools have different things the kids talk about. But thanks for informing me so now I know about it. Happy T day Hugs-Erika

I’d never heard of VSCO girl, so had to look it up, too. I already saw you in the photo and now I got a bit of it in your outfit. Really clever take on the subculture, too. Looks like you all had a great time dressing up in your chosen garb. I thought the dinosaur was very clever.

That’s a beautiful bowl and would go great in my kitchen, too. I can see why you were drawn to it.

Poor Marvin. That’s an adorable shot of him and a wonderful take on early morning and your coffee. Just perfect for T this Tuesday, too.

I’m off to vote later today. Hope it’s not too cold where you are.

The dress up day at school sounds fun, I will have to look up VSCO. I’ve no clues what it is.
The pottery bowl you bought looks beautiful, I can see why it had to go home with you.

Great costumes on everyone. That bowl is lovely. I can see why it appealed to you. I laughed at the photos of your cat giving you the cold shoulder. Mine hasn’t adapted to the clock change, so he’s crying for food on the “old time” schedule. Happy T-Day!

Yes, I was curious as to what a VSCO girl is and googled it. But I still don’t know how she dresses. Slashed jeans, phone in hand sort of thing. So where are you in the picture?
That bowl is gorgeous. I can understand why you HAD to have it. How big is it?
Sorry for being so late again,
    Happy belated T-Day,
    Hugs,
