T Tuesday: savoring summer edition

Time is so fleeting…every year that passes, I realize this even more. I’m beginning to change my mindset. Savor every moment. Not wishing for the next but living in the present.

My garden is beginning to pay off with fresh produce.

I’m loving the food forest I’ve created on the deck. It adds a bit of privacy in addition to ascetics.

I’ve also been adding flowers to the deck. This was a hodge podge on the table until I got things planted.

I decided to make some plant stands for a couple of pots from old tomato cages.

The bonus was using Mr. G’s power tools with the air compressor.

Me- looking kinda bad a$$ in my safety gear.

Here’s a little video of me cutting the very last bit.

and the completed product…

Well technically I did spray paint them after since they were a bit rusty.

Mini-me went and picked us up a treat yesterday morning before she went to work. Love that girl.

I almost forgot Marvin… evidently he thinks he has his own spot for breakfast at the table.

Errands and household chores are on the list for today.

What are you doing today?

Your equipment for cutting the metal is impressive, especially the protective gloves. And the result looks great.

That really IS bad ass. I love what you created and that grinder is loud. Oh the sparks, too. The planter turned out great. All your plants are doing SO well. Mine, not so much.

Marvin looks content and so good of Mini-me to buy you a drink before work. Wonderful. Thanks for sharing your flowers and veggies, along with your new planter, and drinks for this special anniversary T Tuesday, dear Halle.

You do look bad-ass in that welding mask Halle. Nice!!! But what a fabulous idea for a plant stand. I might have to steal it as I want a stand for a garden globe. I just don’t want to spend tons of money to buy a fancy one. And I like your deck pots. Hope you had a super T day. hugs-Erika

And I am back. I forgot to say I loved the photo of Marvin. Cats always think they own the place, don’t they?

Well done making the plant stands, I hate those power tools, scares me.
Marvin is funny, waiting for his breakfast to be brought to him.
It’s lovely when you pick your own veg, tastes so much better too

Great idea on the plant stand! Looks fab and I totally loved your video! Your kitty is adorable and sharing fun drinks with your daughter is a wonderful thing – they grow way too fast. My youngest called the other day and asked if I wanted to have a selzer with her- I felt my heart jump literally (I cherish every moment with her). She brought blueberry ones – so fun. Great looking vegetables too – yum! Happy T-day a bit late
