T Tuesday: treasure edition

Today for T stands for Tuesday hosted by Elizabeth, I won’t be sharing a steaming cuppa anything… But I will share my brand spanking new teapot!!

Isn’t it pretty!?!

teapot

And here’s the kicker…I got it at Goodwill! Look it still has the sticker on the bottom. Can you believe it! When I saw the Le Creuset on the lid I knew it was a steal and I’d be taking it home with me.  I have a vintage Le Creuset Dutch oven almost this exact color that I found at a garage sale about 13 years ago. I didn’t even blink at the $7 price tag. Score…that Dutch oven now retails for $350. Of course, mine is aged and weathered or shall we say…well seasoned.

le creusetI happened to have a 25% off coupon to use as well. Oh yea…love them coupons!

goodwill treasureI was also able to find a few other treasures…like more yarn and rubber stamps. Like I really needed more but I have a hard time passing them up. The tart tins I think I’ll alter in some way…maybe make ornaments from them??

Grocery shopping is on my list today as well as knitting group and visiting my mom.

What are doing today??

Yours is the best haul from a thrift shop that I’ve seen in a long time. I would have brought home everything you did. It has been raining and I’ve been knitting. Hope you show us what you do with the yarn you got.

I have thrift shop envy. And that tea pot will go nicely with your Fiestaware colors, too. What a great addition. Of course, I LOVE those tins. I’ve looked for some for ages, but my thrift store doesn’t carry anything that nice.

BTW, you are lucky to get out in this mess. It’s still well below freezing here, and none of our side streets are clear. Thanks for sharing your latest find during T today, dear.

Hello and Happy T Day! I LOVE LOVE the new teapot, so pretty! What a lucky find for you. Enjoy the other goodies too. My weather is the same as Elizabeth’s, snow and more snow and freezing temps. I did stay home yesterday and enjoyed the warm quiet house but today I’m headed to my grandma’s, to help her shower and do some laundry for her. Then a quick stop at the store for a few things, would be nice just to stay home and warm again though.
Thanks for sharing and have a great day out and visiting your mom.

Lucky you-what a GREAT find!!! I’ve always wanted at least one Le Creuset pot and now you have given me hope that I might find one in a thrift shop too:). I have a few tin ornaments friends have made me and I love them. Happy T day!

Your new teapot is BEAUTEOUS! I love the color.

I never thought of looking for craft supplies at Goodwill. From what you bought, it looks like there are treasures to be had there. Is the book for art, or are you brushing up on your French grammar?

Hope you had a good T Day! :)

sorry I missed joining in tea today…
your teapot rescue is fabulous and I bet it keeps the tea piping hot too which looking so pretty and stylish!
I just saw the cover of Green Craft by Somerset and they made cute pin cushions out of some of the taller “jello” tart tins…
