T Tuesday: treat shop edition

I’m not really starting up a treat shop…it just feels like it. Every year I give plates of cookies and sweet treats to the neighbors but the list seems to be growing and therefore the amount of goodies is getting crazy! But still fun. I get to have a little of this and that without having to keep all of it around.

I’ve also made a double batch of spritz, pretzel hugs and Rolo pretzel turtles….unfortunately all the turtles have been eaten or maybe that’s fortunate since I couldn’t seem to leave them alone.

winter-tea

It’s super, duper cold here and will be all week so there is lots and lots of hot tea being consumed.

I just had to share this photo of Marvin….when I tell people he’s a big cat they really don’t have the concept of just how big.

Grocery shopping and ortho appt are on the list for Tuesday…oh and trying to stay warm!!

What are you doing today?

I had a cat that big. He was like a dog, and I loved him. Wish he was still around. And those cookies look fun and bet they were yummy! Happy T day, hugs-Erika

Marvin is huge! What a beautiful cat :) I don’t do much in the way of seasonal cookery, but you’re definitely tempting me to do something….

    Happy T Tuesday!

I see a deer head in one of the pretzel hugs. Bet you will too, if you look hard enough.

One year two friends and I made over 300 cookies. We baked all day long. I probably need to bake something, but can’t get in the mood. Looks like you had fun, at least.

Marvin reminds me of Bleubeard. He puts Squiggles to shame, but Marvin may even be bigger than Bleubeard. That’s a fantastic photo. I love it.

It’s cold here, too, and will be even colder tomorrow and snow is predicted for later in the week. I see you have had lots of cold, too. I watch the weather channel to keep up with your weather.

Thanks for sharing your cookies and tea with us for T this Tuesday. And don’t eat all those cookies (grin).

Your sweet treats look very inviting, but I’m making myself have one of my “healthier” treats this morning…..cause I baked this weekend and have had a few too many samples already. I need to get my neighbors plates made, and quickly, while there is still something to put on them…LOL!
I don’t think I have ever seen a cat that large…..not domesticated anyway……he’s a beauty, love his markings.
    Happy T-day

Wow, Marvin is wonderful and I am amazed he can reach the table top :-). All your treats and cookies look so delicious! I like to make sweets for my friends for Christmas too – it’s such fun! My hubby would love the turtles you made, we can’t get them here in the UK and he always buys them when we visit America … now there’s an idea I wonder if I have time to source a recipe and ingredients to make him some for Christmas, he’d love that, thanks for the inspiration! Wishing you a Happy T Day! J :-)

I love the concept of giving away most of the cookies. Every Christmas I used to reserve one full day i.e. 24 hours to just bake and bake and bake, then I had all the cookies – what to do with them? These days (luckily?) I don’t find the time to bake, but I do miss the homemade Christmas cookies. They are so much better than store bought ones.
I love Marvin! I used to have a Himalayan quite similar in size and fluff, different colors.
    Happy T day!

You are sending your cold and snow East. We just had our first taste of snow yesterday and bitter cold arriving on Thurs and Fri. Lots of tea, indeed. Your goodies must make a beautiful presentation. Almost too pretty to eat. Almost! I’m going out later on to by fixins for turtles to take as a hostess gift. Stay warm

What a neat picture of Marvin. Yes, that is one huge cat! What do you feed him ;-)

Your sweets look lovely and delicious! What lucky neighbors.

I’m glad you’re managing to stay toasty warm and filling the house with wondeful smells. It’s much better than being out on icy snow-covered roads.

    Happy T Day, Halle!
