    T Tuesday: sketchbook edition

    January 20, 2015 - By

Last evening I began thinking about this T stands for Tuesday post as well as my coffee theme altered book. The book that will seemingly never be finished at the rate I work in the darned thing. sketching tea cupsI have some ideas in my head about a cupboard filled with mismatched cups. I think I could cut them from scrapbook papers once I get some designs figured out.

I’m not in love with any of the handles on the cups…that is my issue. I’m thinking perhaps I could just do without most of them pretending that the cup handles are just facing away.  More thought and experimentation is needed with this idea.

I have a few errands to run as well as trying to stop at knitting for a bit. Then it’s back home to work on some organizing. Not my favorite thing but I love it when it’s done!!

    T Tuesday: New journal edition

    January 13, 2015 - By

Brrr…it’s a chilly one here in MN!T Tuesday new journal edition

Good thing I have a big mug of tea!T Tuesday new journal edition

Since I recently finished a journal I decided it was time to start a loose leaf journal. This is something I’ve wanted to do for some time but it always got put on the back burner.T Tuesday new journal edition

I bought this small 3 -ring binder at Target from the clearance rack sometime last year. I loved the orange and polka dots.

I had added some old tip-ins…extras from long ago swaps. And there it sat…unloved…unused…until yesterday.T Tuesday new journal edition

I grabbed a chunk of cereal box and created the first page of my polka dot journal.T Tuesday new journal edition

I just love the words of wisdom from Yogi tea!

I’m off to run errands in the cold. I’ll be bringing a big travel mug of tea to help keep me warm. When I return I’ll be visiting the T stands for Tuesday blogs hosted by Elizabeth.

    T Tuesday: art journal edition

    December 30, 2014 - By

I’m linking up once again with Elizabeth for T stands for Tuesday.

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas. We did and everyone stayed healthy…hooray! I was worried with all the influenza and viruses around leading up to the holiday break. 20141229_7383

I feel like I’m finally back in a creative place mentally so it was so cool that this was the tag on my Yogi tea bag today. “A relaxed mind is a creative mind.”

I find that I’m drawn to my art zone…now if I could get myself to organize it, I’d be set!

I’m continuing to plug away at the last few pages in my journal.20141229_7381

Playing with texture and bold color on these pages.

These pages had a more subdued feel…pastel like. Makes me think of Easter.

The words hadn’t dried completely before I closed the book. Make a  joyful noise!!! got smudged.  Darn pigment ink.

Well, we’ve got a birthday to celebrate today… Mini-me turns 12!! She’s getting so grown up! She is having a friend sleepover so I’m sure there will be a couple tired girls tomorrow…yikes.
