Tea and books

Last updated : April 10, 2016

I really enjoy my tea. It’s a daily ritual for me…at least until the hot weather comes.

I also love books! I’m especially drawn to old books. I love the way they look and feel.

Some I would never alter in any way and others scream at me to make them my own with paint, paper, fabric and glue.

Hop on over to Kimmies blog to see what the other girls are doing today.

These books make an awesome impression. I can certainly tell which ones have been altered and the ones you would never touch. Have a great tea time today, dear friend.

I so agree about some books saying “do not alter me”…like that grand looking Dictionary on the left in your photo :)

Happy T today and every day dear Halle

Books and tea go together perfectly! I love to see big stacks of shiny books like you have. And someday I’ll learn how to make altered art.

    Happy Tea today!

What a beautiful display- I am drawn to old books – no kindle for me! Teacups and books seem a perfect match and I need more shelving for both!!!LOL
Drop by for tea if you get a chance.

I have not altered a book yet, but I will and I will make remains of the day journals! (This is me declaring that I will finally dive in and not be intimidated.) I like all your altered treasures lined up on the shelf.

I have always judged my books by their cover :)
You have a wonderful shell of beautiful books there!
It’s quite hard to remember what it’s like to be too hot for hot tea …. But when those days come, we’ll forget what it was like to be too cold for iced tea :)

Hi Halle, happy Tuesday Tea to you. I can see some special books lined up on your shelf that you have ‘played’ with, maybe you could share them with us one day. I’m with you when it comes to book ‘love’. I just said to Kimmie how much I love book shops and tea shops, they always have a beautiful calming vibe. Thanks too for popping in to visit me and for leaving your sweet comments.
