Candlemaking

Last updated : April 11, 2016
Continuing one with my need to melt things…I made some candles.
Over time I’ve collected containers and supplies at garage sales to create some OOAK candles.
This one in the tin is so feminine. It has a nice soft scent…not flowery as the flower on top would suggest. Just soft, sweet and slightly fruity.

For this one I placed chunks of a darker, broken  candle in the glass jar before filling with the new wax. I was hoping for a more dramatic look but what can I say…I’m experimenting.

You did an excellent job with those candles. Your “fill” was perfect. No obvious air pockets, either. I loved the pink one with the pink flowers, even though I have more candles than I know what to do with. You did a WONDERFUL job!!

how beautiful…candles are such a lovely thing to have and use!

you make me giggle melting things Halle!

I remember back in the day melting clear pill bottles in the oven with plastic colored crystals of some kind?…then you heated a metal poker and made a hole and hung them like a wind chime on monofilament!

that was a while ago for sure :)
