T Tuesday: bits and pieces edition

Hello! We’re still here…all still here…always…

Have you settled into a routine within our new normal? I feel as if we have. It’s slightly less structured than the beginning of this new normal. Workspaces have shifted. Schedules have adjusted…Marvin is still not pleased but such is the life of a cat.

In my free time, I’ve continued to put scrap paper to use making serendipity collages. These are so fun and can be made without much thought. Very therapeutic.

I was able to cut 3 postcards, 2 tags, a bookmark, and a tiny tag. These are not finished of course but a good start.

I have a bunch of seedlings started in my plant cart. Tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers so far. I have some flower seeds in the purple pots but they are kind of old so I’m not holding my breath on those. I also started a few cold-weather crops outside…I’ve never tried it this early so we’ll see what happens.sewing masks

I got back to sewing more masks as well. My fabric selection is dwindling as well as my elastic supply. Thankfully I had a spool I bought last year when I was making scrunchies from Mini-me. Otherwise, I’d have never been able to make as many masks as I have.

Distance learning continues for Mini-me and I.  J has two weeks of class left of his sophomore year of college. Final exams will be taken from his bedroom…so strange.

I’m staying hydrated while getting this post written with some ice water…please excuse the messy desk.

What are you doing today?

First, I want to thank you for the beautiful postcard you sent. It arrived right before T time today and I disinfected it. I wait a day before handling my mail regardless. Thanks in advance. I’ll share it next Tuesday when I actually celebrate my bEARTHday during T time.

Poor Marvin. By the time he learns to adapt, the lock down might be over. I haven’t been out of my house or off my property since March 13. I have no motivation, though, so I’m hoping that too shall pass. You have been doing a LOT. I am totally impressed, especially with the masks. Did you pleat yours? I did mine but it was a disaster. REAL disaster when I wore it. I have no elastic, so I went an alternate route, which was ALSO a disaster.

Loved the scraps of paper you used to make that page. Reminds me of the two page spread I created in my AB, but yours has much more colorful paper than mine.

Thanks for sharing your new normal, your incredible art projects, and your ice water with us for T this nearly Tuesday.

Love your serendipity collages, beautiful. Poor Marvin, cats don’t like changes, do they? I have been busy sewing masks, too, and gave a lot to elderly neighbours to help them, that made them happy. Stay well, keep drinking and look after yourself, Valerie

Hubby still has not started sewing masks, you don´t even get proper elastic here…
Yours look fun – and we need fun, right. Happy T-day to you.

Well done you for sewing those masks! (Oh I have an Elna sewing machine too!)
No, your desk isn’t any more messy than mine. I love the quote on the wall. So true.
Your serendipity art is great. It is a good idea that I might copy for background pages.
But I am not doing much crafting nowadays.
Your seedling are doing really well! Isn’t it fun to see your plants grow and do well.
Happy T-Day, (I won’t tell you to stay at home. As Iris says: we are not children and yes, we got the message.)

Your artwork looks great. Your plants have sprouted nicely. You’re lucky you can sew cloth face masks. I heard that elastic is the latest thing to be “out of stock.” Happy T-Day!

Looks like you are staying creative despite the change in routine. I bet it feels good to use up scraps and such. Your collage is looking great as well as the masks.
And it sounds like your garden will have some great produce.
    Happy Tea Day,

I love those collage backgrounds, Halle. I’m thinking of doing that on two pages in one of my journals, for a fresh start. They’re pages that hurt my eyes every time I see them. Thorns among my roses ;-)

I ran out of elastic after 11 masks. No one else here has any either.

    Stay safe and well.

    Happy T-Day! Eileen xx

I like the colors on your collages especially the sun. Himself started lettuce in his hydroponic garden. Was going to transplant it, but we’re in for a hard frost so not yet. Your plants look good and hardy Take care and Happy T Day

I love that serendipity collage…and the resulting postcards.
I wish I had got some soil as I have seeds but no soil! Going to ask my sons if they have any! Well done for making so many masks! As we are not going out I haven’t made us any. Marvin seems very relaxed about the whole situation! We are both keeping busy sorting out paper work(years of the stuff to go!)Take Care, belated T day Wishes, Chrisx

I wish you a very happy weekend, stay safe and healthy, and big hugs,
