T Tuesday: canvas edition

I’m a little late for T stands for Tuesday again. I went to set mom’s hair this morning then stopped by knitting for a bit. Those ladies are so funny sometimes! The stories they have to tell…wowsers…had me blushing this morning. HA!caribouYesterday I had mentioned that I’d been painting a lot. In fact I was almost late for my study group because I lost track of time.

heartstringsThis one I call Heartstrings. It didn’t come out exactly like I had in my head but I still really like it.  It’s on a 12×12 canvas. There are many layers and lots of texture.

ocean abstractThis is the one that had me almost running late yesterday. I hadn’t intended on an abstract landscape but that’s how it ended up. This is a 6×6 deep edge canvas. I picked up a 4 pack at Micheal’s last week. It’s a perfect size for me.

bold intentionsThis is my favorite. I call it Bold Intentions. I used a palette knife to create the red drag marks down the left.

I’m heading to lunch now with a friend so I’ll be back to catch up with my blog friends later this afternoon.

What are you doing today?

awesome canvases! can’t remember the last time I worked on canvas…the journals have taken over my life! I can’t decide on a favorite…they are all way cool. You’re right, I do love the red scraped paint on the gray canvas!

Hello and Happy T Day! Sounds like you are a busy lady, YAY!! Glad you could squeeze in some art. The last one is my favorite too but enjoyed each one. Hope lunch out was good. I am home trying to ignore the snow outside my windows :(

Have a great day and Happy early Easter!

I really like all three, but there is something about the middle one that really catches my eye. Happy T Day!

You are busy today! Might as well squeeze it all in before the wintery mix kicks in tomorrow, right? I am so not looking forward to that…

I like all three of the paintings that you shared, but the heart one is my favorite. Nice job!

Since I’m trying to go a little more abstract with art, your three great paintings gave me some inspiration. Now I want to see what is in the knitting bag. I’m without a knitting project at the moment (gasp) but searching. My knitting get together meets Thurs., have to be ready.

I agree that your Bold Intentions is my favorite, too. I’ve never worked on a stretched canvas before. Yours are all so lovely. Lucky you.

BTW, I love your coffee cozy (or whatever you call that thing you made to keep your hand safe).

Thanks for sharing your fun canvases and your blushing (YEA RIGHT) stories with us for T today.
