T Tuesday: cha cha changes edition

So many things happening around here. So many that I’ve been completely neglecting my blog and my art lately. Neither of which makes me happy…the neglect that is.

Let me give you a brief and incomplete list… Kids going back to school one week from today, Mini-me starting high school, packed sports schedule, college applications, jury duty and a few other items I’m not at liberty to discuss right now. Β Don’t get me wrong, this list is exciting for sure but a definite shift in gears for us.

That being said…I did clean off my desk and start playing around with a mixed piece.

I also did a bit more canning…

4 pints of diced tomatoes and 7 pints of spicy beans.

Oh yeah and painted the front door…that turned out kind of crummy though so I’ll need to sand and touch it up. Basic white…fairly boring.

That’s it for today…other than my obligatory beverage photo.

What are you doing today?

sounds like you have a pretty busy schedule. Your canned gods look fabulous and I’m sure will be much appreciated in the coming months. Happy T day!

  2. Your canned goodies look delicious and I really like the start of your mixed media piece, the collage items are lovely 😁. It sounds like you have quite enough to occupy your time at the moment, I hope things calm down a little in the coming weeks. Glad you managed to join us today and wishing you a very Happy T Day! J 😊

  3. Well i’m not near as busy as you…But glad that you found the time to be a little artsy.. that always helps me remain sane.. lol Happy T day!! Hugs! deb

Happy T Day, busy you-I have been canning too-your spicy beans sounds delicious my husband would like those. liking your mixed media so far
    hugs Kathy

  5. Always impressed by canning. Your color combination on the mixed media page is lovely, and I love the lace for texture. All sounds good, except for jury duty…good luck and Happy T day!

  6. Jury duty? Not fun, but necessary.

Sounds like MORE than a full plate, and now I’m wondering what the news is that you should NOT have shared, since I want to know about it (grin).

I hope your friend in Texas is safe. I have a friend in Houston who has evacuated because of the flooding. Not pretty.

Love your new mixed media piece. I hope to see it completed, although it looks pretty complete to me!

You and Kathy have been canning up a storm. Glad it’s you and not me. Been there, done that, and probably will never do it again anytime soon.

Thanks for sharing your overbooked schedule, your mixed media, your canning, and your tea with us for T this Tuesday.

ME? I’m just trying to feel better.

  7. I like the art piece, the colors and the design.

I’ve never been called up for jury duty. I tease my husband (who has) by saying I want to be called up for some huge case and be sequestered lol. He just rolls his eyes. I hope your case is short and uncomplicated.

Fiestaware cup! Nice πŸ™‚ Happy T Tuesday

Sounds like you need more time in the day at this point in time. Your mixed media piece is looking great.
Your canning looks good as well.
    Happy T day wishes.
    Yvonne xx

  9. I’m intrigued about what you can’t discuss…guess I’ll just have to check back! looks like you’ve been busy…glad you got a chance to do a little mixed media again. Lovely! Happy T day!

  10. Sounds like all is good even if it is busy. That’s the way it should be, the good part I mean. Hope you find some art time. And happy T day.

  11. Boy, you’ve got a lot on your plate, Halle! Transitions with your kids (high school and college) are exciting but hard too. And then you got hit with jury duty?! I hope things calm down soon and you can share the other (hopefully good) news.

    Happy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen

P.S. How you managed to fit canning into that schedule is beyond me. I bet looking at the results is a pick-me-up.

Your thoughts are important to me...thank you for taking the time to leave a comment today
