T Tuesday: Christmas and catching up edition

Last updated : January 6, 2021

It’s certainly been a while since I have joined in on T stands for Tuesday. So much, yet so little has happened.

This doodle is from before Winter break. Since I have had the same class over and over, I tend to doodle while waiting  for my small group time to begin. I never realized how often I doodle until distance learning began.

Winter break started a bit early for me…similar to last year. My back was giving me trouble from all the sitting. UGH! At least we found out that we are going to back to hybrid in-person learning mid-Feb. Since all the sitting is really hard on me I tackled making a new table for the treadmill.

It still needs a bit of work as it now tilts backward a bit which is kind of uncomfortable to type. But now I have the ability to slowly walk or just stand when I need to and still work. I’ve been working from school some days as well to change things up.

Christmas was a quiet one. We had a blizzard on the 23rd that lasted into Christmas Eve. Not a big deal when you aren’t going any where. The drifts were crazy in places…these were just cool!

We had fondue and played a couple board games…a nice and peaceful day.

Marvin always enjoys posing in front of the tree for me. He’s kind of a diva.

And what self-respecting cat wouldn’t crawl into a present box. Of course he’s huge and didn’t completely fit.

Since I hadn’t been creative at all for what seemed like weeks I did a page in an art journal to start off the new year. I don’t love it but that ok. Just trying to start the year off right.

Speaking of starting off the year right…I have chosen the word Strength for my Word of the Year.

You can check out the post by clicking on the image in the sidebar.

And if you were curious how I did with last years word: Mindful…be sure to check out that post as well.

I’ll leave you with a my breakfast and my fortune from last evening.

Today has me working from home.
What are you doing today?

It’s nice to see you at T again, Halle. The distance learning certainly does complicate people’s lives. You’ve come up with some clever adjustments and ways to compensate.

Wishing you the best in 2021 and a Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

I doodle lots…although not as much as I used to through boring staff meetings before i retired! The snow looks beautiful – and better for not having to go out in it! Strength is a good word – and goes well with your journal page too! Cats and boxes – funny! Belated Happy T Day and Happy New Year! Chrisx

Your treadmill table is very clever and your doodles made me smile. Pretty tree and Marvin looks content. Ink didn’t like having his picture taken and would have stayed in the box. I like the tail hanging out. Great start on your journaling. Happy T Day and Happy New Year

OK Halle, forget my other comment and delate it please. I had 2 posts open on my computer, you and Karen, and I somehow thought I was on Karen’s blog. I must be too tired tonight. So sorry about that! But I do like seeing Marvin and the sound of your Christmas sounds great. And yes you could have had a lot of snow. Anyhow, I wish you a happy new year and hope it was a great T day.

I hope your back is better soon and the table for the treadmill looks fabulous. So lovely to see the handsome Marvin sitting infront of that beautiful Christmas tree and having fun in the box …lol 😀. Wow, that’s a lot of snow too. Your journal pages are wonderful, they would be perfect for our add a positive quote challenge at Try it on Tuesday if you would like to join us 😁. Happy T Day and wishing you all the best for the New Year! Hugs, Jo x

Wow, I am SO late visiting. Sorry about that. Your snow photo was incredible. I loved how the wind caused the drifts. So much prettier than my pictures of snow.

That’s a great way to use your treadmill. Saw off about 3 degrees from each leg (use a protractor) and you should be about right.

I always LOVE seeing Marvin. He’s so cute and BIG. He puts Bleubeard to shame, I fear. So cute in the box, too.

I really like your journal spread. It’s very Victorian. The colors go nicely together, too.

Nice to see your breakfast and cup of MOM coffee. Thanks for sharing your snow shot, your doodles, your new shelf for your treadmill, Marvin, and your breakfast with coffee with us for T this Tuesday.

Your snow is so pretty. It’s been decades since I had fondue. I remember enjoying that. What’d I do with that fondue pot…

    Happy T Tuesday!
