T Tuesday: It’s beginning to look like Christmas edition

Now that we’ve had a bit of snow that stuck for a few days…although it’s mostly gone again…I’ve been getting into a festive mood.

Christmas tree at night

The tree looks so pretty even with a meager amount of ornaments this year. The ones that are on the tree are not breakable just in case.

Marvin enjoying the lights

Marvin enjoys lounging on the tree skirt and so far has only knocked two ornaments down.

tea for wrapping duty

I enjoyed a cup of tea yesterday morning while wrapping a few presents.

crochet

And even my crochet is a festive green color. I know I have tons of flaws, mistakes and goofy stitches in this one. I did it while watching TV, basically in the dark with Mini-me. It doesn’t matter though since this will just be a dish cloth. My stemware really doesn’t care if the stitches are right.

Mr. G is on vacation again this week so I have no idea what the day has in store. It’s kind of fun to have a blank slate once the kids are off to school.

What are you doing today?

Your tree looks very pretty with all the lovely lights. Your lovely Marvin seems very settled beneath it. Years ago we had a cat who thought she could climb the tree, a perfect nightmare all round.
    Happy T day

Hi Halle, your tree looks great, and Marvin looks wonderful, of course. My Kitty was an ornament destroyer, and always tried to climb the tree! Have a great day, and enjoy the time before Christmas, hugs, Valerie

Your room looks so cozy and pretty. Marvin looks quite comfy, too. Ink doesn’t really bother with the tree. I hang non-breakable ornaments on the bottom. Sometimes he likes to ring the little bells. On today’s to do list: wash kitchen and bathroom floors, finish decorating the tree, and waiting for the arborist to come and take two rotted trees down in the yard. Enjoy your day!

I’m laughing because when I used to have a live tree, Dog (yes, the cat I had for nearly 20 years before Bleubeard) never tried to climb a tree. However, I took care of Joseph’s cat and he was a hell monster. He even knocked the tree over several times and I have the broken Hallmark keepsake ornaments to prove it!

Marvin looks content there, but watch out once more of the gifts are under the tree. And whatever you do, DO NOT wrap catnip up and place it among the other gifts or in a stocking. If Marvin’s an active cat like I think he is, you are in for a battle and lots of packages will be torn open in his quest to get to his “gift.” I had to put the little softie tree up off the floor when Squiggles decided it was a play toy.

Thanks for sharing your tea, your tree, your gift wrapping, and crocheting with us for T this Tuesday.

Your tree looks wonderful! The white lights and white tinsel are gorgeous and I love the lights around your doorway too :-). Wishing you and Marvin (who looks so adorable curled up under your tree) a very Happy T Day! J :-)

Your tree looks very festive. Marvin looks like he approves. I like your green dishcloth. I think those crocheted or knitted cotton dishcloths are super for washing glass.

YOur tree is beautiful and so is the kitty ♥ I’m so late getting around this week. Too much going on. My hubby jut found out that he has to take all of his vacation days before the 16th of this month or lose them so he will be home for a while. I never get things done when he is home but that’s ok I enjoy him being here.

Nothing like a bit of frost and snow to get you into Christmas spirit, right? Well, actually in my case it is also the Christmas lights. I think your tree looks gorgeous. And apparently Marvin enjoys it, too ;)
    Happy creating!
