T Tuesday: many things edition

Hello and welcome to T stands for Tuesday…thought I should introduce myself…LOL…just foolin’…

I missed last week. The nasty cold/virus I had took me out of commission for anything outside of work and the most meager of household duties. Friday I wasn’t even able to work…I drove there walked into the building and realized that I just wasn’t going to be able to do it…turned around and went back home. Rest was what I needed….and a respite from the billions of germs that are on every surface at school. Blech.

I do have an art journal page to share. It’s been a work in progress for quite a while.

I just love how it turned out. The image is from a circa 1970s calendar. So sweet.

Layering of bits of papers has been on my list of favorite techniques lately.

As well as staining and drippage using more liquid mediums.

My photo challenge has definitely been going better than last month.

Notice the Vikings logo for 10: I like this. Yepper…life long Vikings fan, that’s me! The Vikings miracle in the last seconds victory last night isn’t likely on that many peoples radar (especially to my overseas friends) but I must say that I am still pinching myself. It feels a bit like a dream. Hopefully the Vikings can BRING IT HOME for the Superbowl! That would be amazing…home field advantage and all. We heard that JT(Justin Timberlake) is going to be partying at Paisley Park next week…maybe I’ll have a celebrity sighting in the next couple of weeks. Who knows?!? Of course it will have to warm up a bit to be able to see anyone braving the frigid temps. Using the snow blower to move snow today was insanely cold. Made much quicker work of the chore though.

What re you doing today?

  1. SO sorry to read you have been sick. Seems lots of us are under the weather. It is frigid here, and we finally had snow. Our overnight temp is supposed to be around -11 F. I’m so ready to get out of this deep freeze. I seem to be living in YOUR world this winter, although we definitely haven’t had as much snow.

I LOVED your journal spread. It is soft and definitely adorable. I am also quite impressed with your photos. Marvin always makes me smile. He is SO adorable and not camera shy, either.

I saw the replay of the game from last night and was happy for you. Just wish it had been the Pats (grin). Can you tell who I DON’T like?

Thanks for sharing your art, your photos, and your splendid wine with us for T this nearly Tuesday. I hope you are feeling better now.

  2. I hope you are feeling much better and rested! Your art journal page is so beautiful 😁. The calender image is very sweet and I love how you complimented it with the layered papers – perfect 😁. I’m also loving that you included your journal page in your photo challenge too. I always enjoy looking through all your amazing photos, they always make me ooh and ahh – wonderful! Thanks for the smiles and wishing you a very happy T Day! J 😊
p.s. as you used your favourite technique of layering papers, have you thought about linking your page to Try it on Tuesday too at: https://tuesdaytaggers.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/my-favourite-things-at-tiots.html
It would be great to see you there, have a great day! J x

  5. I’m sorry you got the flu bug. I’m still battling with mine which won’t go away.
I love your photo challenge. It looks so simple but I wouldn’t know where to start.
Your journal page is so sweet. I love that photo of the two children. A picture says more than words sometimes.
    Happy T-Day,

  6. Sorry you have been poorly! Hope you are on the road to recovery now – there is so much going around at the moment! I love your journal spread and think I need to catch up on IG with your photos! Take Care and Happy T Day! Chrisx

  7. I actually saw the ending of that Vikings game and it was amazing. I am one of those dreadful Pats fans, but the hubby just loves football and was watching the game. Who would have guessed with so little time left that they would get a touchdown? Good for the Vikings. (I will take that back if both our teams make the superbowl and they beat the Pats…ha-ha) Hope you are feeling better. Those school germs are the worst. Happy T day.

A fabulous spread – so beautiful! Happy T-Day and thank you for joining Try It On Tuesday!

  9. Sorry to be so late getting around, Halle. We’ve had terrible & intermittant internet for a couple of days – often less than 1 megabyte download!

Beautiful spread!!! It reminds my of France Papillon’s art. She’s one of my favorites. I hope you’ll share more like this.

    Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen
