T Tuesday: randomness abounds edition

Last updated : May 25, 2022

I’m not going to lie…this post might just give you motion sickness from how all over the place it will be.

I guess we’ll go with chronological. Mr. G was tasked with creating some trophies that he’d 3D print at work for the company go-kart racing day. He said I could paint them up so we got to go shopping at the craft store!

These were printed on a resin printer so they are quite smooth and would take spray paint really well.

They turned out pretty darn cool if you ask me.

I got this in the mail from my friend, Sandy.  When we were at the cabin in Idaho, we had a few drinks and she said…gosh I better quit cause I’m slurring. To which I said…You’re not slurring, you’re speaking in cursive!

On Friday we loaded up the van to bring J to college for his second year. Mr. G picked up the horrible virus mini-me and I brought back from our trip…likely from the airplane. He was completely out of commission for nearly 4 days so Mini-me came with to help out and be my home travel companion.

Since we were in Duluth with no boys after setting J up at his apartment…we did what we love…look for seaglass.

We found a very small amount of very tiny glass. It was still fun but bigger pieces are definitely more fun.

I sat down to do a bit of art journaling yesterday. I was really feeling the need to play with paper, paint, and glue. I’m not in love with this page but it certainly felt good to play.

Today was yet another step back to the reality that summer is nearly done. I had a work meeting. It was nice to see all those faces again. After my meeting I ran to the grocery store…

Had my name tag on the whole time…duh. No wonder people kept looking at me somewhat oddly.

What are you doing today?

HaHa that was cute wearing the name tag out in public-I could see me doing something like that. very cool making and then painting up the trophies and loved your gift. Love your sea glass-so pretty-I had never of this before til a few years ago when a blogging friend in Greece posted about collecting. we ending up swapping craft supplies some of mine for some of her sea glass-I had jewelry made from some of it.
    Happy T wishes Kathy

I almost got whiplash (grin) from this post. You were all over the map. Those trophies turned out great. You did a great job painting them, too.

Did J get the same room and roommate as before, or is this a new experience for him. Seems he isn’t taking as much this year as last from all the containers I remember you showed last year.

Your sea glass is beautiful. I can see lots of uses for the smaller pieces, like using them in your art. They are really pretty, too.

I actually like your journal page. I like the focal image, because it is so mid-century modern, a style I’ve come to especially enjoy.

Your glass is gorgeous. It was a cute message and I love that it was inspired by you. Thanks for sharing this with us for T this Tuesday, dear friend. And thanks for the postcard, too. I LOVE IT!

I did that once with a tag at work. I was wondering why all these people knew my name. And you have been busy. Wow, those trophies are cool. 3D printing is really an amazing thing. And you got some great sea glass. Any art plans with that? Happy T day. That mug is really really cool with that fun saying. Hugs-Erika

Loved seeing the beautiful sea glass. I never heard about it until reading the book “The Tide of the Mermaid Tears.” Your jar is the perfect display for all those lovely colors.
I really love that image on your journal page. So retro and it goes perfectly with all the other pattern going on.
    Happy Tea Day,

The trophies turned out great and the ? trophy made me laugh. The mug is cute, too. Looking at the car made me think boys must not take all that much to college. When we took the Eldest, the station wagon was jammed full. The sea glass is very pretty. I don’t think I’ve ever seen bright blue pieces before. Those are my favorite. I think sometimes we are just too critical of our own work. Wearing the name tag in public, too fun! Happy T Day!

So funny about the name tag! How many times have I done that? I can completely relate!
Those were pretty cool trophies, and I am impressed with the 3-D printing of them , too.
Love that your friend sent you a mug with the saying you said to her.
    Happy week!

I am really impressed with those trophies. I don’t know anyone with a 3D printer, so this is all new and fascinating to me. So clever.
I’m sorry Him got the dreaded virus too. What about J? Did he get it? Great that Minime was able to accompany you on the way back.
The seaglass is lovely. I think it would be quite fun and also relaxing to go collect those from the beach.
That mug is amazing! And such fun! That is a good saying: I shall remember that one.
SAs for walking into the shop with a name tag on? I have done it so many times. I normally work in uniform, but if there is a meeting or a tutoring session where I can come in mufti, I invariably forget my name tag!
Oh, I forgot to say that the metal grids on our windows and doors are pure tradition. Our crime rate is very low. The gates on the carport will have panels on them to shield the car from the hot sun. In summer the car gets so hot, it takes a few minutes of running with the airco before i can get in it. Besides it’s not good for the paintwork and the seals around the windows plus the tires will dry out.
    Happy belated T-Day,
    Hugs,
    Lisca

I must have skipped right past your name last week, Halle. My apologies. Your trophies are very cool! 3D printers are amazing.

I love your clever drink cozie. That was a brilliant reply. You and Sandy should sell these.

Great sea glass haul. They’re so pretty.

I bet people got a kick out of your name tag. It made me smile.

    Belated Happy T-day! Eileen xx
