T Tuesday: almost spring edition

Spring comes a bit later here in Minnesota…not by calendar but weather. Its ok…we’ll muddle through. We’ve had rain and snow…fog and sun…shoulder high snow piles and ankle deep puddles. And that was just Thursday.

**Ba da dum…I’ll be here all week.**

The last week was Spring break for J, so he was home for 9 days. Of course, the rest of us were still busy with work and school. The visit felt very brief but the semester will be over before we know it!

Yesterday after returning J to the bus stop at Mall of America, I made a bit of time to do a bit of creating.

Not exactly sure where this page is going but perhaps I’ll know when I sit back down. Sometimes a fresh eye helps.

This week will also brings a big trip for Mini-me. She is heading to Costa Rica on a choir and band trip. Such an amazing experience for her…such a scary cutting of the cord for me. They are preforming 3 times in three separate areas of the country along with a ton of fun activities such as horseback riding, zipline tours, a volcano hike and a beach day. An action packed week.

I may have to give up coffee during the week so my nerves aren’t quite as frayed.

What are you doing today?

I have a lot of fun playing with all my supplies doing a journal page. Love the creating of it, even if it isn’t anything great. Just love playing. It will come to you what you want to do. It looks like a great start. What an interesting life with kids going here and there. Happy T Day!

I hope all goes well for BOTH you and Mini. She won’t be able to call home when things get tough. I’m not sure whose cord will be cut first (grin). Wish her luck from me.

So glad J had a chance to get home. Will he be home over the summer break, or will he take summer classes?

Your spread is already looking like spring. I’m loving all the different embellishments you are using in your pages lately.

Hope all is well and you don’t have to give up coffee (grin). Thanks for sharing your art and your coffee with us for T this Tuesday, dear friend.

It must have been lovely to have your family home for a few days. You will miss Mini when she’s away, but the trip sounds really exciting.
The journal pages look great, I often leave mine for days and go back to them.
Have a good week and I send you T day wishes.

That sounds like an awesome trip for Mini-me. Lucky girl. I’m sure she will enjoy it. And you will too as I’m sure she will send you messages and photos. Don’t be nervous. She’ll be OK. After all we are trying to teach our children independence one step at a time.
Your journal page is beautiful. Looking forward to seeing what you create on it.
    Happy T-Day,
    Lisca

Your comment about the weather made me laugh. It sounds like a description of New England weather, where we have the saying, “If you don’t like the weather today, wait until tomorrow.” Today we’re back to having a very cold wind chill, so Winter doesn’t seem to want to let go. Your artwork looks good so far. I’m sure you’ll find inspiration to complete it. It sounds like Spring break for J flew by. That’s exciting (and scary) for Mini-me to be going on a week’s trip. Happy T-Day!

Love how your journal page is coming along. A great start with that lovely background.
I can imagine it must be difficult to see your daughter go so far away. One can never be too careful nowadays. Hopefully, the week will pass quickly and she will be home before you know it.
    Happy Tea Day,
    Kate

It must have been lovely to spend spring break with your family and how exciting for your daughter to be going on her trip, I bet she’ll have an amazing time! It sounds like a trip of a lifetime, so cool ?. Your page looks beautiful, the soft colours and flowers remind me of spring and I love the way you have created the flower shapes using the gesso – beautiful ?. Wishing you a happy T Day! J ? x

What an amazing opportunity she has to go on that trip! I love your fiestaware mug. Perhaps a calming herbal tea in it rather than caffeine until your daughter is safely home :) Happy T Tuesday!

    all week huh! LOL!
Your journal pages have a fantastic beginning, I like the colors, and of course the flowers.
It’s hard to send you children out into the world without tagging along…..been there, done that! She will have so many wonderful stories to tell you when she gets back safely in your hands.
    Happy T-day

I loved your intro, Halle. Ba-da-bum! Mini-me gets to go to Costa Rica. And you’ll get a t-shirt – lol. You must be sooo proud of your kids – and rightfully so.

    Happy T-day! Eileen xx
