T Tuesday: AJJ Houses and Buildings edition

Welcome to my twofer post…I’m combining T Stands for Tuesday and Art Journal Journey today.

I was sitting on the deck after my morning walk just enjoying a slow morning.

While I was sitting listening to the birds I felt inspired to create. I recently unearthed a journal that Elizabeth aka alteredbooklover made for me YEARS ago. The earliest writing in it goes back to March of 2009. Anyway I have been wanting to make another wonky junky journal so when I found this one again I knew I had to play.

I started with the base page that had some items already stitched down. I was feeling the wonky wild vibe so I purposely chose bold papers to build my house. I added a bit of marker in different places to further sell the idea of a house. I was able to use this bit of found text to complete my vision. Love it when I plan comes together.

This page is not for AJJ. It just is the adjoining page and the pieces just sort of fell together.

The pages complement each nicely.

  1. I thought I had already left a comment, but I hadn’t. I had a dumb blond moment. I absolutely LOVE your house and you have given me an idea to make one based on yours. After all, imitation is the greatest form of flattery. Also, thanks for sharing it with us at AJJ.

What a beautiful view you have from your deck. I love the flowers in the pot and basket. And of course, thanks for sharing your coffee with us for T this Tuesday.

I actually went down a rabbit hole and revisited the visual journal I made you years ago. I love how you kept the inside, but got rid of that way too large cover. And I had forgotten what the inside pages were, so that was a fun revisit, too.

  2. Isn’t it fun to find an older journal and get back into it? I like seeing how my style changes between the earlier entries and the new ones. This is a fun new spread. What a fun thing to do after a morning walk. Thanks fro linking up to Matilde’s challenge. And have a super T day too. hugs-Erika

  3. What a lovely little outside space you have there to enjoy your coffee.
    Your journal pages are fun.
    Happy T-Day,
    Lisca

  4. What a lovely place to sit. I miss our deck from our home we sold 8 years ago, lovely journal pages, Happy T Day- Foxy Stamping -Sharon
